French legendary Footballer Lilian Thuram’s son Marcus Thuram who plays as forward or left-winger for Bundesliga side Borussia Mönchengladbach has suffered a ban for the five games, with an additional sixth game suspended until 21 December 2021.

In the Bundesliga soccer match between Borussia Mönchengladbach and Hoffenheim that took place at Borussia-Park in Mönchengladbach, Germany, Thuram in a heated argument with Stefan Posch, spat on his face and was immediately given a red card.

Post the incident, Thuram also issued an apology note on his social media page stating that he is ready to accept all the consequences for his act.

The German Football Association (DFB) also fined Thuram with 40,000 euros along with a five-match ban that applies to the German Cup and Bundesliga both.
