Description:

Method presents “In The Small, Infinite”, a group show of small works, that captures the movement of artists turning their attention to the petite.

Art analysts have identified a pattern emerging: collectors and artists alike are turning their attention to the petite. Intimate pieces are increasingly sought after, not just for their accessibility, but for the quiet intensity they command. In their scale, they invite a kind of looking that is both personal and profound.

The artworks on display as a part of In The Small, Infinite ask for attention not through boldness, but through presence. They demand slowness. They reward focus. In their tiny forms lie expansive worlds, each one a site of tenderness, rebellion, wonder, or design.

At a time when bigger often feels synonymous with better, this exhibition reminds us that the profound is often found in what can be held in the palm of your hand.

There are 90+ framed works, all under A4 size. Artists have used various mediums/techniques such as: acrylic on canvas, oil on canvas, lithography, collography, sculpture, collage, etc.

Ongoing till July 6th at Method Kala Ghoda & Method Bandra

About Method
“The Revolution introduced me to art, and in turn art introduced me to the revolution!”
–  Albert Einstein

It’s unclear as to whether Einstein was talking about a political or scientific revolution, but it is evident that art and breaking away are intermingled at the core.

Method is an introspective and “extrospective” approach to art and the world in which it currently exists. By acknowledging that limitlessness is an inherent characteristic of creativity,

we fall beyond the domain of predetermined outcomes not only as artists but as a community.

In doing so, we transpose and expand with the movement of art. This cultivates collaboration and experimentation for the purpose of expression as well as discovery.

Method has galleries in Mumbai & New Delhi.
