Since his last release in December 2020, Theharity’s journey has been a masterclass in artistic resilience. While the 2021 lockdowns silenced many, Theharity chose to navigate a series of profound challenges, both personal and health-related. Yet, through every physical and emotional setback, the artist’s creative vision only grew stronger and sharper.
Theharity’s drive is backed by a proven track record. In 2020, he amassed 5,000+ organic listeners and peaked at #3 on Spotify’s RADAR India playlist, a feat that earned him early acclaim from the press. It was this undeniable potential, along with past features on New Music Friday, that fueled his five-year incubation.
Known for his “marathon” mindset once literally running 11km to film the visuals for his track ‘My Dreams’ Theharity is no longer just a small-town dreamer. He is a refined artist returning with the grit of a survivor and a sound designed for the global stage.
About the track – Born in a studio break, In 2023, Theharity travelled to Ahmedabad for recordings. While working in the studio, they took a break and the producer (Bazzotorous) played this track and asked ‘Can you write something on this?’ Theharity took his phone, opened Voice Memo and started singing ‘Jaan Jaaye Meri Jaan’. Just a few minutes in, he wrote this beautiful song. Clearly, he didn’t choose that song; that song chose him. ‘All I know, I was thinking about my beloved and how much I was missing her while on that music-making expedition,’ said Theharity.
