Putting speculations to rest, Kapil Sharma, one of the biggest comedians the country has produced, announced his wedding dates with his longtime rumoured girlfriend Ginni Chatrath. The comedian-turned-actor is tying the knot with his lady love on 12th of December in Jalandhar.
The actor is busy with his promotions for his Punjabi film and was avoiding any questions around his wedding but the media has its own way around and he had to give in. Opening up on the topic of his marriage, Kapil said, ‘The wedding is on December 12 in Jalandhar. That’s Ginni’s hometown. We wanted to keep it low key. But Ginni is the only daughter in her family. Her folks wanted the wedding to be on a lavish scale. And I completely understand their sentiments. My mother also wants the wedding to be lavish.’
Meanwhile, Kapil can’t stop gushing about his lady love; he revealed that he has known Ginni for a decade. He also stated that Ginni is his better half. ‘I fell in love with her first, then my mother fell in love with her and that’s when I felt I should make it official,’ Kapil added who is excited to see the happiness on his mother’s face and that how she is overjoyed with the news.
Although there is a catch here, according to some media reports, Ginni had put forward a condition to Kapil before she agreed for the wedding. Ginni wanted Kapil to quit alcohol before the wedding and gave him time to clean up his act. And if the sources are to be believed he is now completely off alcohol. Looks like Kapil’s soon-to-be-wife has her priorities and decisions set. Just a wife being a wife, we will say.
The comedian was surrounded by controversies around his temperament and his mid-air-fight with colleague Sunil Grover and this made him disappear from the spotlight abruptly.
