Through Twitter, Prime Minister Narendra Modi congratulated Invest India for winning the 2020 United Nations Investment Promotion Award.
Happy to receive encouraging words from Modi, this National Investment Promotion and Facilitation Agency of India replied to his tweet stating that they are ‘committed’ to the vision of a New India which wants the country to be aatmanirbhar.

Set up in 2009, Invest India is a non-profit venture that acts as the first point of reference for investors in India, falls under the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade, Ministry of Commerce and Industry.
To combat COVID-19 and steps undertaken towards it resulted in UNCTAD to declare Invest India as the winner of the Investment Promotion Award among 180 agencies. Giving a glimpse of what exactly they did, here’s a video:
