Tanmay Bhat took to Instagram on Sunday night to talk about his depression. This is the first time that the comedian has addressed his fans after the MeToo fiasco in October 2018. Tanmay had to step down as CEO, along with Gursimran Khamba, the then co-founder of AIB.
Tanmay uploaded a series of videos, where he openly talks about the work he had put in his company and how he failed at it. Lately, it made him question his own potential.

He admits that he is a mess, but is thankful to people for being supportive. “I’m still feeling extremely paralysed to even put out this message because in my head no one wants to work with a depressed comedian and that’s an oxymoron. I owe you guys a thank you. That’s all for now,” said Tanmay.
Aditi Mittal, a fellow comedian, has criticised him for selling his depression.

Although, many other artists and comedians extended their support and have encouraged him to fight through his depression. Indian film critic Rajiv Masand encourages him and said, “this too shall pass.”
