Familiar flavours, playful cocktails and easy-going evenings come together at Kochi’s new neighbourhood bar

National, October 2026: Yaegar Hospitality, the hospitality company behind ’Coz Coffee, has launched REPEAT, a new neighbourhood bar in Kochi founded by Nithin Simon and Shouri Akkineni. Bringing together a cocktail-forward programme, contemporary bar food and an easy-going setting, REPEAT is built around the simple pleasure of coming back to the things you enjoy.

Built on the idea that some experiences are worth repeating, REPEAT takes its cues from the familiar rituals of a good evening: ordering a favourite cocktail, returning to a dish you enjoyed, staying for a second round that was never planned, or finding yourself in a conversation that lasts longer than expected. Rather than relying on spectacle, REPEAT focuses on comfort, consistency and the kind of atmosphere that makes guests want to return.

At the heart of REPEAT’s food offering is Chef Antony Jose, whose approach brings together familiar comfort, contemporary techniques and unexpected combinations. The menu takes inspiration from local bar culture, nostalgic favourites and flavours from across Asia and the West, while keeping the food approachable and generous. The launch menu features dishes such as tuna crudo, stuffed wings, beef tartare and Tony’s Noods, bringing together familiar flavours with a contemporary perspective. The intention is not to bring fine dining into a bar, but to approach bar food through a chef’s perspective, bold, playful, satisfying and made to be shared.

Speaking about the launch, Nithin Simon, says “Repeat really started with a very simple thought, what are the things we enjoy enough to do again? It could be your usual drink, a dish you keep thinking about, an unplanned second round, or a conversation that goes on much longer than you expected. That became the idea behind the bar. We wanted it to feel familiar, easy and lived in, but still have enough personality to keep you curious. With the cocktails, we’ve focused on doing the classics properly while also chasing flavours and combinations that are fun and unexpected. The collaboration with Chef Toney, we’ve approached the food in the same way, proper bar food, but through a chef’s perspective. At the end of the day, Repeat is about those little experiences you enjoy enough to come back for. And hopefully, one more round.”

With a cocktail programme that balances classics with playful signatures, alongside a food offering rooted in familiarity and experimentation, REPEAT brings together the elements of a neighbourhood bar built not just for a first visit, but for the visits that follow.

Shouri Akkineni, Cofounder, Repeat, further added “We’d been talking for a while about the kind of bar we’d want to keep going back to ourselves. The idea for Repeat really came from noticing what it is about certain places that makes you want to spend more time there. You can spend a few hours there without feeling like the place is asking too much of you. After a couple of visits, you start finding the things you like, and that familiarity builds on its own. Tony’s food made a lot of sense for that too. It’s familiar enough to crave, but there’s usually something in it that you didn’t quite expect. We liked the idea of bringing all of that together in one place, and that’s what we’ve tried to do with Repeat.”

The space has a seating capacity of 79 guests, along with The Apartment, a separate space that can accommodate 8-10 people.

REPEAT is about the pleasure of familiarity: the cocktail you already know you like, the dish you find yourself thinking about later, the second round that was not part of the plan, and the conversation that stretches well beyond the first drink.
