September 2026: Mumbai is getting a taste of Ubud’s cocktail culture as Night Rooster, Ubud, Bali, takes over Punchline, Bandra, on Thursday, September 10th for a one-night-only bar takeover.
Known for its inventive cocktails, local Indonesian ingredients and drinks inspired by folk tales and supernatural stories, Night Rooster brings a distinctly Balinese point of view to the craft cocktail scene. Led by Raka Ambarawan and Esy, the programme explores local fruits, herbs, vegetables and spices through
house-made preparations, modern mixology and playful takes on classics.
Recognised by Tatler Asia and featured in the Tatler Best Asia 100 Bars 2024, Night Rooster has built a reputation for putting Indonesia’s ingredients and stories at the heart of its cocktail experience.
For one night, that experience comes to Mumbai. The Night Rooster team will bring its signature approach to flavour, local ingredients and storytelling to Punchline, creating a cross-cultural meeting point between Ubud’s cocktail scene and Mumbai’s drinking community.

Punchline, a friendly neighbourhood cocktail bar in Bandra by the team behind Barbet & Pals, is built around punch, community and easy, social drinking. Created by Jeet Rana, Chirag Pal and Chef Amninder Sandhu, the cocktail programme takes inspiration from paanch, meaning five, with drinks built around five core elements: spirit, citrus, sugar, spice and dilution.
The bar brings together individual cocktails, shared punch bowls and an expansive food menu by Chef Amninder, creating a thoughtful yet approachable addition to Mumbai’s bar scene.
